Saying Goodbye

Since arriving in Korea and beginning work at the ARIS private school, our director has been fired and our head consultant quit. Although Julie was the source of some troublesome issues, she was there with me and the other teachers through some good and bad times(most of which I have simply been told about). We celebrated Julie's time with us last night at a nearby restaurant and just after sitting I realized that there was going to be a lot of drinking going on. Scott, the new director, came in about an hour later from a "meeting". In Korea this word means drinking and smoking and drinking more. Scott, a man that doesn't normally talk, had plenty to say this time. He also dragged me into doing a "love shot" with him. Keep your thoughts straight, he's my boss, he's married with kids, and he's Korean. There will be no lovin away from taking a harmless shot with the man. Harmless for me, a little more damaging to his state of mind.
